FAMILY CO-MENTORING™ is a training and educational program that is sponsored by Growing Better Families. “Co-Mentor”™ refers to coaching/mentoring, but this unique program has gone beyond the usual definitions of these disciplines by developing the principles and structure of Dynamic Co-Mentoring™.

Whether you take this course in preparation to actively Co-Mentor™ families or to increase your knowledge and improve your skills as you work with parents and families in your role as teacher, youth leader, etc. you will find the time and effort well spent.

This course of study consists of either 5 or 8 lessons.

The 5 lesson course is for persons who do not plan to actively Co-Mentor families™. Participants in the 5 lesson course will, upon receiving passing scores on all 5 lessons, receive a letter from Growing Better Families, signed by Dr. Becker confirming the satisfactory completion of the 5 lesson course. Persons who complete the 5 lesson course have the option, within 1 year, to go on to complete lessons 6, 7 and 8 in preparation for becoming a Certified Family Co-Mentor™.

The 8 lesson course is for persons who plan to actively Co-Mentor™ families. Following successful completion of the 8 lessons and the completion of materials relating to the Co-Mentoring™ program, the participant will become a Certified Family Co-Mentor™.

Each lesson is accompanied by a 10 item "open book" quiz. A score of 60 or better is passing. After studying the lesson and taking the quiz, the quiz should be returned to Growing Better Families for scoring. When the quiz has been passed, the next lesson and quiz will be sent to the participant.

The cost of enrolling in this course is included as a benefit of membership in the GreenHouse.
